Make the most out of your time with routines you actually enjoy
If it's not routine, it won't happen
Often our health struggles are linked to struggles with time management. We struggle to prioritise our health within our already busy schedules.
Our brains are organs of habit. We tend to do pretty much the same things day to day and week to week. It takes a pretty major change in our routine to cause us to stray from our typical behaviours, and we usually return to our baseline behaviours fairly quickly.
If we want to add a new behaviour (for example exercising) to our repertoire, we typically need to either 'chain' it to an 'anchor' behaviour in our existing routine, or build a new routine from scratch. This might sound intimidating, but it can also be exciting.
Creating routines (and a lifestyle) that brings you joy.
If we want to sustain new behaviours, we need to make room for them in our lifestyle. This means building pleasure-based daily routines which prompt the brain to initiate healthy behaviours.
We'll work together to build a lifestyle that incorporates the necessary habits to achieve your goals, as well as the high level of pleasure necessary for the brain to sustain them.
What's involved?
Goal setting: Developing a clear understanding of your ideal lifestyle (including balancing joy with health)
Step-wise goals: We'll help you move from your current lifestyle to your ideal one slowly and sustainably
Utilising pleasure: increasing the sources of pleasure available to our brains to make change more comfortable, and more enjoyable
Routine chaining: generally we start with building one or two pleasurable micro-habits, then 'chaining' other behaviours in the goal routine to these foundational habits over time.
